Why are so many singles?

I am biased.
Here, in Sweden, they say our society has one of the highest, or the highest rate of singel households in the world. But why? What is wrong here in little Sweden?
I’m gonna be honest with you here. I’m biased. I’m a person that like duality; as in a man and a woman having a good relationship.
The gay form I’m leaving for an other discussion even though you probably can apply many things to the gay world as well.
Yes, I like the thought of a man a woman living their lives together in a good mood. I see it as pretty basic for a well functioning society.

Bride and groom exchange rings during a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony.

So why isn’t everyone married and happy? Well of course there are personalities that is deviant. They who are not doing well in duality or in the presens of an other human being. It’s understandable with some deviation.

What makes a marriage important?
Is it important? Well first of all, the marriage itself has it roots in cultural and religious beliefs. And those factors is coming from church or state. Mostly church I think.
Up until modern time the marriage was a holy matrimony between man and woman. The sign of love and promise. It was seen as the backbone of any decent family and community. Being unmarried was looked at as strange, weird and dirty.
In the past decades the marriage har lost it’s value and trust. Weddings are just as many as divorces. I think it’s sad.

It’s seems to be even more common to just live together anyway. Just a few generations ago it was called promiscuity. Just having the relationship without confirming to God your love for each other.
And I can’t say anything about it. God doesn’t make the relationship. You do. God is a cultural or religious ”witness”. A belief. He’s not the conditioner of your relationship.

Are people having more difficulties to find a soulmate nowadays?
From what I see, people have changed their way of looking at relationships and family making. People seem to have difficulties to find trust in each other. It’s so easy nowadays to just say
”-I don’t like this. I’ll move”.
And it’s over. Just like that. What happened?
And sure, one should not live in a unsustainable relationship. My question is; has it become harder for people to bond than before? Harder to make it long term.
Is there perhaps an attitude towards independency now more than before? People won’t compromise so easily nowadays as they used to do.
Good or bad? What has set this development?

Viewing shortly the history of marriage and feminism
The view of how a marriage should be has changed the past century. Women has gotten a more free role in the society and also in the household. I’d like to call it feminism. Liberation.
I not a feminist, and I don’t think I have to be one to acknowledge the cruel stuff women in general have had to put up with in the past, for as long as we can read history books.
I think it stands unquestionable that women’s position in our society and the world, had to be strengthened.
A lot!
That, I think is a fair portion of so called feminism.

Downgraded to sperm donator.
The past decades, my view is that the so called feminism, the modern feminism, has gone off track.
Completely.
People in charge has made sure, by laws and effecting the opinion, that the woman has to work. Has to make a career. Make money of her own. Perhaps seeing the man as more of a sperm donator than an actual mate of life.

And not necessarily by choice. More or less has to. I think it should be very choosable. Up to every woman herself to make that decision. But no. The state is pretty clear here. The state makes laws for it. At least in Sweden. Making sure, by law, that the days of maternity leave is quoted for the man as well. The woman can’t take the whole maternity leave for herself, even if she wanted. Which also interrupts the nursing. But that’s an other discussion.
And yes, in Sweden we’re lucky, we probably has the best maternity leave in the world. That’s a very good thing of feminism, i believe!

To be independant from the man.
A woman should be independent of a man, according to the state of Sweden. At least that what it’s opinions says. And it’s outspoken by many left-wingers too.
I’m not saying independence is wrong. But it should be by choice! And stop seeing the man as a problem in it’s whole.
There are men, and women, behaving like jerks, but that’s an other discussion. My view here is a man and a woman living in a sustainable relationship, sharing their lives and household. Being a team.
Yes there are those too! For real.

Mentioning the gay world.
And then we have the gay world. It’s like the society is promoting homosexuality. Putting it to an other level. Normalizing a relation that can’t replicate. Purpose?

There has always been gays and probably always will be. Them who wants to be gay, let them be gay. You can’t change feelings. But it’s not necessary to promote it in commercials. I have kind of a neutral view of homosexuality. Sensitive topic for many. I’ll leave it there.

The hate of men.
So the picture of women as liberated and free has a good purpose, I believe. A very good one considering the history.
But in todays modern feminism you can sense it has made the woman more or less hating the man instead. And that’s when feminism has gone way out of control.

In conspiratorial areas they believe it’s made by design. To deflate the marriage and the core family.
I get what they mean but thats, also, an other story.
The point is that I believe our society and government is pushing for more loneliness. Their actions speaks that way.

To get the full picture here I believe you have to know the other side of the coin. The coin of power. To understand The Matrix, and/or the depopulation theory.
Not necessarily believing in it. But knowing about it.

A summary.
The liberation of women and their role in our world had to get much, much better compared to the history books. But it doesn’t have to go to the point of more or less man hating that we see in todays modern so called feminism.
I think this extreme way of the modern feminism has a big role in why there is so many single households in Sweden. And perhaps many other parts of the world.
In it’s whole, the modern feminism has teached the woman to look down at the man.
Equality is good in many ways. Has it gone out of control? I think so.

You…
What are your thoughts on this? Why do we have one of the highest rates of singels households in the world? Modern feminism? Or something else?
